Is there anything more interesting than expanding your office during a pandemic? 

If you have been in our office in the last few years, you know that we were in very tight quarters.  We had two lanes, and only Dr. Ryan or Dr. Amber working each day- never both.  Care Now, the urgent care next to us, left their space at the end of March 2021.  This presented a wonderful opportunity for us. With plans over a year in the making, we spent the first week of April demoing much of the old Care Now space.  We continued to see patients in our original space for a few months while the build proceeded.  Once the new side was complete, we moved everything over and worked out of part of the new space while our old space was remodeled.  

The newly expanded space is just over 5000 square feet (our previous space was 1600 square feet).  We went from 2 exam rooms to 6 exam rooms, and from 1 doctor to 2 doctors (this will help us have more appointment availability for our patients).  We have added one more optician and one more technician so far.  Our optical has more than doubled in size and number of frames to choose from.

Additionally, we have upgraded to automated phoropters in our new exam rooms.  This allows us to check your prescription digitally, and in most cases, prevent your choices side by side instead of having to flip back and forth between "1 and 2".  This method is also fantastic for physical distancing as it allows your doctor to give you some space while checking your prescription.  Dr. Ryan and Dr. Amber have also brought in even more new equipment to aid in diagnosis and treatment of dry eye, corneal disorders, and myopia management (slowing the progression of nearsightedness in children).  

Our goal with the larger space and new technology is to serve our patients even better and provide the highest quality of eye care possible.  We hope you will be in soon to visit and experience the difference!
